I really don’t know how Google managed to cobble together such an awful mapping application, but here is an approximation of the route. Maybe I should wander over to Google UK HQ which is around 300 metres from here and show them how it could be excellent.

Olympus Primed
The collection is almost complete, F1.8 17,45,70mm lenses ready to go on the road trip with the Olympus OM-D. Just a few weeks away and it'll be Northern California, Oregon and Seattle at the mercy of these great little lenses. Thinking back to last year when it was all heavy Nikon DSLR and huge primes, it'll be interesting to see what differences come through with a completely different set up.
And we are off again

Oregon via California Highway 1, up the coastal routes to Portland and then backcountry roads back down to SF in just a few weeks time, the preparation has started! This time it’ll be coastal scenic daily pictures, blog posts of what we find until Portland OR. an in-depth photo tour of food, drink and city sights, then the road back to SF taking in the north south routes which head back to San Francisco via Shasta where we will meet old friends.
Keep looking back in and please offer tips and hints of places to stay, visit or just look at so we can find those little secrets that are off the beaten track
And so it continues…
Another visit is booked and ready to roll, this time we want more of Northern California and Oregon. In fact we liked the little we saw of Oregon so much we plan to do an in depth analysis. Arrival is planned for May 2013 travelling from San Francisco which is always a favourite destination. Up Highway 1 taking as many coastal roads as possible through Oregon to Seattle via Portland. The return route through the back country of Oregon to San Fran in mid June to catch the flight home. We are looking for recommendations as to where to stay, scenic roads to drive and places to visit on the way. Tourist places yes, but the less explored and travelled the better. Quirky towns, forests, rivers, places to eat, photogenic and unusual, the more unusual the better. This time we’ll be packing different photography gear. Gone are the huge DSLR rigs, now it’s high quality mirror less Olympus and Fuji gear for the photo blogging. Routes are being planned but we want local input to help us make this trip even more epic than the last, so please add your suggestions and comments.
The Sisterhood
Monument Valley
Nothing much to say about this, just that its worth getting up early to capture beautiful scenes .The Nikon DSLR content is now being edited into usable images, whereas before all the blog images from the trip itself were taken by iPhone, blooged on iPhone and posted as we travelled via complimentary wi-fi from hotels, McDonalalds car parks, Starbucks and wherever else we could find an entry to the blogosphere.
